Good Grief, It's December

Yes, believe it or not, I actually drew in my sketchbook last night. I'm trying to finish it off by the end of the year so I held myself at metaphorical knifepoint yesterday until I'd filled four pages ... mostly rubbish, of course, but there were a couple worthwhile doodles. The one above happened when I asked my sister what to draw, and she said 'a penguin pirate.' It was only at her insistance that I added the pantaloons, which I now think are the best part.

A scalbie ... probably too cute. I like corvids, dangit.

Brutha in the desert ... there's a smiling sun with sunglasses included in that drawing but I cut it out. Might add it back in. I can't help feeling I've drawn someone else in this exact attitude before...

Inspired by some responses to my post yesterday. Sorry for butchering your Lucius, Makani ... the only reference I had at the time was that post-drunken-party picture which I found felicitously wedged in my sketchbook last night.

You just can't make this stuff up ... well, okay, maybe you can.
RUSSIAN SQUIRRELS ATTACK DOG
There's got to be a gag in there involving Rocky vs the Dirty Commie Rodents...

If you didn't scan it don't worry about it...I figured you cropped it in Adobe Photoshop or something...
