Whenever I'm feeling frazzled or distressed, I reach for a steaming mug of Shipping Forecast cocoa and everything's OK.

Is that the four-cast blanket...?

Haha, no, it's the Radio 4 comfort blanket. Radio 4 makes me all snuggly but the Shipping Forecast is like Extra Strength Comfort Blanket. It's so soothing.

Hmm. I think I'd die if I curled up under a blanket, right now. So hot and humid. Cocoa sounds fabulous, though...

Ahh, but a figurative blanket doesn't have to be warm at all.

Cute picture of yourself.

And hot chocolate just is the best, especially with orange extract in it...

Aww, you look like your being tranquilized by an overdose of Radio Four :D
I've never heard the Shipping Forecast; how terribly un-British of me ^_^ It would probably lull me to sleep if I did.

If you stay up till 12:48am it's on Radio 4... luckily that's only 4:48pm for me so it's no stretch at all.

I don't think it'd take much to lull me to sleep if I stayed up that late! (I am so hardcore. not. ^_^;;)

I have to admit I've never really listened to Radio 4 properly - and certainly not the Shipping Forecast - I'll have to stay up late to hear it one of these days...nights. I'm more or a BBC Radio 2 person myself - Steve Wright in the afternoon - that's my happy place. All the 'modern' and 'young' radio stations scare me a little bit. :)

Lovely drawing, by the way. So...coochy. If that's even a word. lol.

Radio 4 is about as old fart as you can get. That's why I like it. :) Lots of documentaries and intelligent people talking seriously about things. Except for the comedies, of course.

They always do plays don't they? And the 'Book at Bedtime' and that sort of thing? Or is that Radio 3? Is there even a Radio 3? And what does it do?!
x.

Yeah, they have lots of plays, as well as Book At Bedtime, Afternoon Reading, and Book of the Week ... I can never keep track of what's on what. And then there's all that Woman's Hour stuff, blargh. That's what the Radio Player is for; you can pick and choose what you want to listen to.

Radio 3, as far as I know, is mostly classical music and related paraphernalia.

I listen to Radio 2. Because Terry Wogan is a minor god.

There was a wonderful programme on BBC4 last night: 'How to be 18th Century' It was like, a spoof acting advice thing about how to be... well, 18th Century. The phrase 'heaving bosom' was used. And much hilarity derived from mobcaps.
