Dear Mr. Whedon,

42:26, seriously?

Not like that. You people, sheesh.

He is certainly a challenge. Been trying to crack him myself. I think I've got the construction all right but I have yet to come up with a good strategy for the eyes.

Yeah. The eyes gave me trouble, I think they are what's making the rest look off, but I can't be sure.

I've found that making sure the jaw is fairly square but angles inwards and keeping the mouth close to the nose gets the right feel for the lower part of the face. Also remember: enormous forehead (though this is less apparent when he's wearing his goggles). There's this sort of gutter that goes from the inside corner of the eye around the edge of the mouth (Daniel Craig has it too) which can sometimes be expressed with an eye bag line and sometimes with the nose-mouth line but if you try using both it looks really cluttered and ages him too much. Also, and this might just be me, even though when you're looking at him, his cheekbones seem pretty prominent, it feels more like him when you minimize them. Dunno if any of this helps, but there you go.

'Someone' has had way too much time on her hands lately. :D

I get the feeling you may have put some thought into this...
Very helpful though! I know what you mean about the cheekbones; my first instinct was to make them really sharp, but that definitely made it feel less like him. I sure wish there were some better reference pictures though, all the ones I've found have been tiny and pixelated.

If you buy it off iTunes you can both stop-frame it within the program AND open it in Quicktime, from which you can save images. Just find the frame you want, using the arrow keys to navigate forwards and backwards, then ctrl+C and ctrl+V in whatever graphics program you use.

CUNNING, EH? :D

I wouldn't know, though, I've been doing nothing of the sort ...
